Discover a small piece of Portugal in Geneva at the Restaurant O’Viriato. Numerous Portuguese decorations and beautiful blue Azulejo tiles cover the walls of this restaurant, which is dedicated to the Roman warrior Viriatus, King of the Lusitanian people. We’ve heard that the traditional dishes served here are often even better than in Portugal, something which has been important to the owner in Geneva for over thirty years now. Genuine typical dishes, including cabri, suckling pig, Feijoada stew and salted cod (Bacalhau) attract Portuguese families at the weekend, and, as is the case for many of the restaurants in the Pâquis area, the clientele also regularly includes a mix of ambassadors, tourists and local residents.
